And...another day 2

Yes, my friends...you read that right. This was...another day. Profound, am I not?
So...today was. Um. Okay. Yeah. It was long. Really, really long. Simply because I didn't have near enough to do. Well...actually, I didn't keep myself busy enough. I got up and went out to the garden pretty soon after breakfast because it was supposed to rain later on...then Dad and Mom went out with Naomi and I held down the fort while the kids did school. I discovered it is incredibly easy to upload a video to YouTube and pretty much sang all afternoon. I really should have done other stuff because that made me all emotional and made the afternoon just drag on so much. Sometimes singing helps...sometimes...it don't. :P It did some though. So it's all good!
I also called Verizon and got my phone fixed so that I can send and receive picture/video messages. Finally.
I came across only a few spiders in the garden today...which made me happy. No Black Widows.
One strange thing is that my room as been very clean the last two days. That's not normal and makes me uncomfortable. Okay...just kidding. I love keeping my room clean...it feels good to have it all purged etc. Just need to get my closet...maybe that's a project I can do tomorrow.
I may be headed to town with Em tomorrow. I need to buy some new jeans for when I start work at M.P. Surplus. One of Emily's biggest tips to me about starting work there was this: "Wear jeans, not a skirt. For one, it's hard to work there in a skirt. And two...guys stare way more when you're in a skirt." So yeah...I'm totally going for the jeans. :P Sure is nice to have a sister who works where you're getting ready to start. She's got all this stuff figured out already.
Not too many pictures. Like I said...I didn't do near enough today. I really...really...really need to find some projects to keep me busy and make the days pass. I'll be keeping Red with me for the next few months. And he'll be arriving in all his mischief in a couple of weeks. It's my plan to...remove a bit of that mischievous nature. *cough* we'll see how that goes. My biggest problem is that I have a terribly short attention span (much like a Child.) and so even if I have a big project I like to have a couple more to switch between. But maybe it's time to break myself of that. IDK. We shall see how this goes!
Yeah...so...I'm totally rambling now. I do that sometimes. Have you noticed?
Hope y'all are doing well and having a great Tuesday! :)
Keep smiling and shining for Christ. :)

I was eating breakfast while everyone did out loud reading this morning and  snapped a picture of Naomi sitting still. (that's a big deal, btw.)

Here's the garden bed I cleaned out today, before I cleaned it out. Wasn't near as bad as the one I did yesterday but still was a task.

And...it's all cleaned out. I just need to clean up around the beds. I think I'll do that after I finish cleaning all the beds out.

A lettuce plant that bolted. I found the flowers to be rather pretty.

Sky wasn't near as blue today and it was much cooler.

'Nother flower.

And then Dad and Mom went out and I finished making the Tortillas.

Oh yes...I've become addicted to this mango flavored tea. Micah found it rather amusing when I took the lid and straw to my  green plastic cup and placed it on top of the tea mix canister. :P

Burgers for dinner...but the best part is that we grew that beef. Not on a tree...like...you know..on a cow.

Abby put her bangs up like this to keep them out of her eyes....and...well...she got attention for it so, of course...she had to one up herself...

And she did!!!! :P

That's all for today. I'm crashing in Em's room right now still trying to keep myself busy. Who would have ever thought that would be so hard? I have stuff to do but it's like...I never feel really busy. Even when I'm doing a ton of stuff. IDK. I'm strange. :P

Y'all have a great day tomorrow and I expect I'll be doing another post then! :D

Another Day

Well, like the title of this post says...it was another day. Not an exciting day, not a terrible day...just another day. Which is not a bad thing at all.
I got a good bit done today. I'm trying like crazy to just keep myself busy and productive otherwise the days are so, so long and that's just not good. Plus...I want to be more than just a toad. :P I need to be productive and bettering myself, my skills etc.
So, anyways...here's a few pictures of the day! :) My main "event" was working in the garden and *sniff* giving my hamsters to Micah. They just weren't...exactly helping my asthma by living in my room. So...it's back to being just me in my room and it feels terribly dead and lonely. I seriously need a fish.
The garden work went fine...aside from being eaten alive by ants, looking down to have two huge brown spiders crawling on my hands, encountering another black widow the hard way and pulling a muscle in my neck, it went very smoothly! Okay...so I'm being dramatic...but all of that did happen. :P And that's okay...I got some good work done and even though I don't love the garden...it feels good to be useful and doing some hard work. (If the garden doesn't sound like hard work...wait till you see the pictures...)

Anyways! I think I might be rambling now...I feel like I could type forever and ever right now. :P Getting ready to Skype with a friend and that's going to be super nice. She's one of those friends that I can just talk to...such a blessing.

Here are the pictures! Sure hope and pray y'all had a blessed day! :)

First off...I got my room back in order. That feels so good...and yes...believe it or not, this is actually in order for my room.

My boys... *sniff* I miss them...but I'm glad Micah has them...I can see them whenever I want. :D

Em got Mom these flowers for her birthday (for Emily's birthday...she got Mom flowers...savvy?)  They're sooooo pretty.

Yeah. Let's move on.
JK...I really do love this dog...most of the time. :P

Okay! So...yes...this is the garden bed I worked on today...it's...uhhh...it was a job. The root system through that bed was ridiculously huge and deep down. And you see that thing in the front left corner? Yeah...that's a fire ant bed.
Here's the lovely home of those dear creatures who found me to be very tasty.  We thought for a little while that I  must be allergic to fire ants because I was feeling really strange...but we don't think that's the case now as the bites never got any worse than normal for fire ants.

Yeah...I destroyed their home. Poor things. IDK if you can see it...but if you look closely you might be able to see the swarm of ants. There were... a lot of ants.

The sky was so blue today and the weather was great for the most part. I  checked the weather and decided to put my hoodie on...that lasted all of ten or fifteen minutes before I was burning up.

Mom and Dad did a trip to DG so I came in to watch the minions. Here's one of them hard at work doing school.

And the other making a hangman's noose. Okay, not really.

Then I got back out to work in the garden and staid out there through dinner time to  get  it done before the sun went down. You can see it now at the halfway point how thick those weeds were and that's not even showing what's under the dirt. I haven't uncovered all the beds, so for all I know this one is mild compared to the others. :P

And it's done. Isn't it...beautiful? Ummm...so maybe  not. But that was a lot of good work. :P And I did weed that ant bed without even caring if they attacked me...thankfully it wasn't as bad as it could have been and I survived. :P

And on top of all the awesomeness today I actually had my first harvest. Most unexpectedly too. Apparently the bed I was cleaning out was our old sweet potato bed. :P

And that would seem to be all for the day! :) I have no idea when my job at M.P. Surplus starts...I'm really hoping it's soon, but we'll see.

Hope y'all have a great day tomorrow! Always an adventure to be had and always a chance to shine for Christ. :)

Later, folks. :)

Emily is 22... Woah

Well...my best girlfriend is 22. That's so scary. Thinking back about when we were little chasing each other around our room in Germany...planning our weddings at the ripe old ages of ten and seven...staying up way too late giggling on the floor...watching her dance around while I made mud pies...having her tell me how to walk properly and speak right and...yeah... The list goes on...and on.
She's an incredible sister and might bop me if she reads this. :P
I love her and am thankful for her. We are so, so different...like night and day...but we somehow manage to be best girlfriends. With all the fun and not as fun stuff that goes with it.
Here are a few pictures of the day. Em spent the day out with mom and dad and I watched the kids.
Hope y'all had a great day. :)

And so we resume...

I'm going to try to keep up the blog again. At least for the next few months. We'll see how this goes!
Today is Emily's birthday and I shall be blogging that very soon, Lord willing. (I don't have anything to blog from that yet, though. :P)
For now...I'll just start blogging from last Friday when I went down to the beach with the Kings. It was one of the best days and it'd been a long time since I'd been to the beach. I was very thankful that they invited me and enjoyed every minute of the trip. :)

I don't seem to have too much more to say...so onto pictures we go! (And I am now using Oscar the iPhone instead of PJ=RIP.)

Headed down...we crossed over a bridge of some kind. It was cool. It  was an hour and a half to two hour ride, I think...I wasn't paying much attention to the time. :P

"Dost thou dare take my photograph without first offering to pay a royalty?"
(Yeah...sorry...but doesn't that look like what he's thinking? :P )

*laughs* it was...48 degrees I believe and, as you can see, Hannah is all ready to go play at the beach. :P

Headed down to the water.

The kids played Frisbee and I don't know how that worked with ALL that wind. (Awesome wind.)

Makes me think of one of my favorite songs ever...

Some of the crew made sand castles and things. Benjamin "made his face" by building up a mound and planting his face in it, then pulling it out to make his faceprint. I thought I had a picture of that! His whole face was covered in sand. :P Isaac was very meticulous about his creation, but I never saw what he was making...

Eli and I really enjoyed getting to spend time together.

I love the water...so pretty.

The Mr. and Mrs. King

There were tons of birds this time...should have gotten a better picture of them.

The Mr. and Mrs. King and mahself

And a picture of all of us except Eli...you can't see him, but he's there...behind the camera.

After we went to the beach and drove around a bit, we  went to lunch. I told Mom that I would bring her back a shark from the beach, but this was the best I could do and they wouldn't let me take him home for her. :( Sorry Mommy. :( Some of us had started coming up with names for him...but we never decided. I suppose we'll have to go with Oscar.
Eli and me at lunch.

Micah enjoying his beverage. Such and awesome dude. 8-)

Yeah...I'm doing it again. Taking pictures without warning. Most rude, I know...most Childish.

But, as you can see, he got so angry that I just had to stop... :P

I could make a comment right now, Noah. :P

And I really should have taken more pictures...but I was distracted and enjoying myself too much to spend any time using electronics except to send a "sit-rep" text to mother dearest every now and then, of course. :P
It was such a beautiful day and I'm really thankful that I got to go and spend some time with the Kings and build such beautiful memories. :)

Until later! Y'all keep smiling and shining for Christ. :)
Over and out...

Anyhow! I may be able to blog more now with this since its so easy to take pictures and post them here!

Hope and pray everyone is well and enjoying life with Christ. :)

Rescue

For anyone who may have been reading my book before, I have gotten back to it and have two new chapters up. :) I plan on keeping it going steadily now, since I've decided not to take as long of a break from writing as I had thought I would.
