Sampling my new toy

Got a few pictures with my new camera and just got the software installed into my computer so I can upload them. As soon as I get rechargeable batteries and a charger, I'll be taking way more pictures. One of the few cons to this camera is low battery life. That's one of the few things I miss about my old camera is the special battery and charger. :P But I'm loving my new one. For the money, it's not a bad camera at all. :D (And it looks cooler than my old one, and we all know how important that is. 8-] )
My very, very, very favorite setting on my camera is the "macro" setting. :D I love getting up close to things and focusing in on the details.
Anyhoo! I'm having a blast with it. :D There's so much beauty in life and I love capture the parts of that that can actually be seen. :)
Smile and shine for Christ!
Over and out for now. :-)

Took this one through my bedroom window while it was storming.

This one was taken at full zoom. As in...48X zoomed in and I took it through a window...I was pretty pleased with the quality of the camera at this point. :P

  1. Very nice! Macro is also my favorite, which I'm sure nobody has noticed. :P 48x is incredible. I thought that camera had 12x. When you go to look for rechargeable batteries, btw, you might consider looking for "stay charged" Duracells. I've read that other rechargeables will lose their charge if you leave then sitting for too long...which might not be a problem for you, but anyway. There are types that supposedly stay charged. Naturally, they're not cheap, but really, not rechargeables are.

    1. Thanks. :D Yeah...it is 12X...but it goes up to 48X...at least that's what it says when I zoom in completely. It's like an extended zoom or something. IDK.
Oh, thanks...I might look into those later...actually just bought some today and got Polaroid. Not sure how good they are, but they were pretty affordable, so I went for them. :P Thanks for the case and card btw. :)

  2. Oh cool! Nice job. I especially like the mood of the first photo. And the mention of a storm. Feel free to send it my way. ;)
Macro is my favorite too. Except...I do it in Apreture Priority mod. XP
